THE APPROACH

What is ICF mentor coaching?

Mentor coaching focuses on the development of coaching skills in relation to ICF competencies. It is different from supervision, which can explore the broader professional, relational, and ethical context of coaching work.

Preparing for a credential can raise questions about your coaching approach, habits, and how you demonstrate your skills. We can explore the areas you want to develop and discuss whether my mentoring offer fits your current credential pathway.

Start with the challenges
you are facing.

  • Reflecting on your coaching competencies
  • Recognising habitual patterns in your coaching conversations
  • Developing awareness of your strengths and development areas
  • Preparing questions around a credential or renewal pathway
  • Connecting professional learning with your coaching practice

How we work together

We begin by discussing your experience, your intended credential or renewal, and the development you are looking for. The scope and format of mentoring are agreed with you; exact eligibility and current requirements should be checked for your pathway.

Preparing for our first conversation

Tell me about your coaching experience, the credential or renewal you are considering, and the areas in which you would value mentoring. We can establish whether this offer is appropriate for your goals.

MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Coaching informed by
professional experience.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Are you a registered ICF Mentor Coach?

Yes. I became a registered ICF Mentor Coach in 2023, as described in my professional biography and coaching brochure.

Does this page confirm my ICF eligibility or required hours?

No. Credential requirements can change and depend on your pathway. Before we agree a mentoring arrangement, we discuss your requirements and the current ICF guidance.

Is mentor coaching the same as supervision?

No. Mentor coaching focuses on coaching skills and competencies. Supervision provides a reflective space for the broader questions that arise in client work, including ethics, contracting, and professional relationships.

How can I discuss a mentoring arrangement?

Choose ICF mentor coaching or coach supervision in the enquiry form and tell me your experience and goals. We can then discuss the fit and format.

Let’s discuss
what you want to work on.

Tell me about your context, goals, and questions. We can explore whether working together is right for you.
